SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

KILLER NASHVILLE MAGAZINE publishes literature that inspires readers and craft writing

that empowers writers.

We are drawn to stories that generate tension, consequences, discovery, and emotional impact,

work that captures the reader and refuses to let go. Whether subtle or explosive, quiet or fast-

paced, the writing must matter.

We publish fiction and nonfiction that captivate readers with mystery, thriller, suspense, action,

horror, and romance. These elements span genres, and we welcome works that bring them to life

in fresh and compelling ways.

WHAT WE ACCEPT

We accept submissions in these categories:

Short Stories — up to 5,000 words

Flash Fiction — up to 1,000 words

Poetry — up to 3 poems per submission

Novel Excerpts — up to 5,000 words

Craft Articles — 1,200–2,500 words

Creative Nonfiction — up to 5,000 words

Book Reviews — 600–1,200 words

We only accept original, unpublished work.

EDITORIAL STANDARDS

KILLER NASHVILLE MAGAZINE maintains professional editorial standards aligned with our

readership.

We do not publish material that contains biased political messaging, gratuitous sexual content, or

excessive graphic violence.

Stories may include danger, tension, fear, or emotional intensity, but these elements should serve

the story rather than exist solely to shock.

RESPONSE TIME

We aim to respond within 30 to 60 days.

PAYMENT

KILLER NASHVILLE MAGAZINE pays contributors upon publication.

These rates apply to works published after June 1, 2026. Prevailing payment terms for earlier

published works remain in effect.

Short Stories — $50

Flash Fiction — $15

Poetry — $10 per poem

Novel Excerpts — $50

Craft Articles — $35

Creative Nonfiction — $50

Book Reviews — $15

Payment is issued after publication.

RIGHTS SUMMARY

By submitting to KILLER NASHVILLE MAGAZINE, you agree that if your work is accepted,

you grant First North American Serial Rights and the rights for the work to be published,

archived, and distributed across KILLER NASHVILLE MAGAZINE platforms, including

digital and print editions.

Copyright remains with the author.

After publication, authors are free to republish their work elsewhere, as long as they credit

KILLER NASHVILLE MAGAZINE as the original publisher.
